Greetings,
The "3rd Jharkhand Science Film Festival" was yesterday's occasion. At the event yesterday, I had a great time. I learned a lot. Three movies were screened. These are their names:
1. My Life As A Snail
2. An Engineered Dream
3. Decay
The story "My Life As A Snail" is told from the viewpoint of a snail who lives among humans. How difficult it is for him and his family to find food. How concrete is harming the environment by producing enough carbon dioxide, in addition to harming snails. How difficult their lives have been so far. We are taken on an exciting and emotional journey into the life of a snail in the movie.
"An Engineered Dream" is a documentary about students who travel to Kota for coaching in the hopes of getting into IITs. An Engineered Dream follows the lives of four such teenagers in Kota. The first character is that of a topper. The second character is that of a girl who often finds herself lazy and is busy maintaining relationships. The third and fourth characters are two students who find it hard to study. Later, in the conclusion, "Suraj", who is the topper, secures AIR 5 in JEE advanced. This documentary also tells us about the lowest selection rate, i.e., less than 1%, and about the lives of students who didn't make it to IIT. The education pressure among students in India is so horrendous that more than 75,000 students committed suicide between 2007 and 2016.
A silent short film titled "Decay" explores how plastics affect the environment. It tells the story of a tourist who found a secret waterfall in Ranchi and shared pictures of it on social media. When he returns a few years later, he discovers that the area is covered in plastic. That location's beauty is currently compromised. Additionally, if you go camping, Director of this film, encourages using cutlery made from leaves.
I attended the event with my classmates Aditya, Diwakar, Dhairya, and Kaneez. A few refreshments arranged at the event's conclusion. The day was one to remember.
I appreciate you reading all the way through this post.
Regards,
